I ordered a kit from a competitor first. Big mistake.

When that "other" kit arrived I realized it was configured in such a way that I would not be able to get the unit out of the dashboard once I installed it with the kit. Ugh.

So I started searching, and came across this Enfig dash kit option. Doesn't seem like it's hard to do, but I think Enfig is the only (reputable) company out there that makes a kit which accommodates metal mounting sleeves (it came with one, but I used the unit's own). This, in turn, allows you to install and remove the unit as needed.

This is a key feature. Really. You might think the other approach is good for security, or "why would I need to remove it once it's installed," etc. But I've taken mine out twice already, needing to get at the wiring behind. Things come up, and making the dash kit impossible to get out after install is just poor design.

Enfig's unit is well-made and fits well (as can be expected), so I'm totally satisfied. Thank you Enfig!
