Will control next and previous track from athe radio and steering wheel controls. Will not lock out the controls on the iPod. iPod compatible with all models made from 4/2003 - 7/2008 except Shuffle. Will not charge the 3rd Gen iPhone but will transfer audio. Use this chart as a guide. In all applications this interface connects directly to the back of the radio. Direct wired line level audio input via the iPod's bottom dock connector. Charges the iPod while the radio is on. Connects to the CD changer port behind your radio. Will work with all in-dash CD players and Changers. Works with ALL Monsoon and non Monsoon radios. Will NOT work with externally mounted CD Changers or Phatbox. They must be disconnected.

If your Jetta has this radio follow the 2003-2004 notes. If you have any other radio this unit is not compatible with your radio. If your Golf , GTI, Jetta or Passat has this radio follow the 2003-2004 notes. If you have any other radio this interface will not work and you must look for an interface that works with a 2001 model year car. This interface connects to the CD changer connection behind the radio. The CD changer connection in the trunk is just a cable that runs to the back of the radio. The CD changer in the trunk will be disabled. This interface will not affect the in dash CD player.
