iPod controls remain active. No control from the radio. Charges the iPod while the radio is on and for 20 minutes after the car is tured off. Retains full functions of the factory XM and navigation. Plugs into the connector in the rear of the factory radio. Works with or without the 6 disc in-dash CD changer and does NOT disable the in- dash 6-disc changer built into the main radio. If vehicle is equipped with factory remote mounted CD changer,or CD/MP3 player, it MUST be disconnected to use the interface Works with both navigation equipped and non navigation equipped vehicles with or without the 6 disc in-dash CD changer.
