Plug and play subwoofer amplifier kit for cars with a factory subwoofer with built in DSP for Bass Restoration
Amplifier
Kicker Key 500.1 Mono amplifier with a built high to low adapter and bass restoration DSP Sound Processor. It is rated at 300w at 2 ohms, 150w at 4 ohms, 500w at 1 ohm.
Most high to low adapters and amplifiers with high speaker level inputs can only accept a signal up to 10v. This amplifier has the Kicker KEYLOC built in (similar to LC2i) . It can accept up to 40v. We have tested audi subwoofer signals to be more than 10V. The voltage will vary by car, The factory B&O Factory subwoofer signals are also tuned for the factory plastic enclosure. The built in DSP fixes the the factory signal and improves the sound for an aftermarket subwoofer.
Power Kit
Out power kit includes a 17 ft power cable and a 2 foot ground wire. The power cable has a spade terminal instead of a ring terminal since the bolt on the battery terminal does not come completely off. A 6 foot options is available for cars that have the battery in the trunk.
SUB2RCA Cable
This cable connects to the factory subwoofer harness. The other end has an male RCA connection to match the Kicker KEY 500.1 Female RCA input.
Bass Knob
The bass knob is optional but its helps out when you want to lower the volume on the subwoofer. Some songs produce more bass than others so it comes in handy
